Sourceful

Building Sourceful's self-serve business from zero to six figures

How I turned a new idea into a revenue engine, growing revenue 111x in its first year.

(01)The challenge

Where things started

Self-serve let brands design, configure and order custom packaging online, without needing to speak to anyone in sales.

It was a new idea for Sourceful, with early traction but no proven model. The job was to turn it into a revenue engine that could grow without costs growing at the same rate.

(02)What I did

Building the engine

01

Built and led the team

Promoted to General Manager, I led a team of 10+ across marketing, product, sales and operations, owning the P&L and the roadmap.

02

Built the acquisition engine

I brought customers in across paid search, paid social, TikTok, LinkedIn, events and referrals, then doubled down on what worked.

03

Fixed the path from lead to sale

I introduced better CRM workflows, automation and sales enablement so more leads became customers.

04

Tested what moved customers

I ran experiments across onboarding, pricing and activation to get customers buying faster, at a lower cost to acquire.

(03)Results

What it delivered

111x Year-on-year revenue growth, reaching a six-figure run-rate in year one
+44% Improvement in lead-to-sale conversion, Q1 to Q3
−30% Reduction in customer acquisition cost, H1 to H2
